Funding
Since 2003 WAMAS has helped over 6000 employees achieve NVQs at level 2, 99% of these have been funded by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) through either The Employer Training Pilot or Train to Gain. Train to Gain will end in July 2011 and, to the best our knowledge, there are no plans to replace this with another long term initiative but WAMAS has access to funding until at least July 2012.
WAMAS has a direct contract with the Skills Funding Agency and several partnerships with Colleges that enables us to access funding.
Am I Eligible?
The funding is available to those learners who:
- Are over 19 years of age
- Do not already have an NVQ level 2 or 5 GCSEs grades A to C
- Have lived in the EU for more than 3 years
Those who are ineligible for funding can still achieve the NVQ but they will need to obtain alternative funding.
